CAPE TOWN, South Africa (UPI) -- South African President Jacob Zuma survived a secret no-confidence vote Tuesday by Parliament over allegations of corruption. After hours of debate, lawmakers put the two-term leader's fate to a vote -- 177 voted against Zuma, and 198 voted in his favor. Nine abstained from voting. SPRINGFIELD (Heartland Newsfeed) -- In a move that Republican leaders say cut off negotiations, the House passed a bill Sunday that nets $5.4 billion in revenue by raising income and corporate taxes and creates several new taxes on services. Romanian prime minister removed in no-confidence vote

Ed Adamczyk United Press International BUCHAREST, Romania (UPI) -- Romania's Parliament ousted the country's prime minister Wednesday in a no-confidence vote, six months after he assumed office. Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu's left-wing Social Democrat Party accused him of failing to undertake economic reforms, and Parliament voted him out in a censure motion. The vote was 241-10.
