Water main improvements underway in Mexico
MEXICO -- Residents of Mexico will likely experience some temporary interruptions of water service, discolored water, and/or lower water pressure. Missouri American Water is working on an ongoing water system improvement project, worth $2.4 million, to enhance the water service reliability to Mexico customers. These improvements include replacing 4-inch, 6-inch, and 10-inch cast-iron water mains installed in the 1950s and 1960s. They will be replaced with 8-inch and 12-inch PVC water mains.
