LLCU completes purchase of Nokomis Savings Bank

DECATUR/NOKOMIS -- Land of Lincoln Credit Union (LLCU) announced in a press release Monday that it has completed its purchase and assumption of Nokomis Savings Bank. LLCU now assumes the assets and liabilities of Nokomis Savings Bank, effective as of this past Friday at midnight. Nokomis Chamber holds final meeting of 2023

NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis Chamber of Commerce met Thursday, November 9 at noon for its final meeting of the 2023 calendar year at Demi's Diner. President Dr. Scott Doerr presented an update on the upcoming Snowkomis celebration on December 8-9. LLCU donates to Nokomis library

NOKOMIS -- Land of Lincoln Credit Union -- LLCU -- has given the new Nokomis library additional funds to complete its project. In a press release from LLCU earlier this week, the bank donated $10,000 towards the project. A check was presented to library trustees on May 8. DECATUR/NOKOMIS -- Land of Lincoln Credit Union -- LLCU -- of Decatur and Nokomis Savings Bank -- NSB -- have entered into an acquisition agreement. The agreement, signed by LLCU President Robert Ares and NSB President Charlie O'Malley on April 28, will allow LLCU to acquire NSB. The agreement is contingent on regulatory and member approvals.
