Oakley hired as EIU men’s soccer head coach

CHARLESTON -- Eastern Illinois University's athletic department has a new member in its family. EIU athletic director Tom Michael made the announcement Wednesday of the hiring of Josh Oakley. Oakley will be serving as the new head coach of the Panther men's soccer program. Oakley, the 11th head coach in program history, is a former assistant coach at EIU. CARLINVILLE -- The Blackburn College women's soccer team suffered a tough loss Saturday against the visiting Greenville University Panthers. CHAMPAIGN -- The Fighting Illini women's soccer team fell at home to #2 North Carolina in the season home opener 5-1. The opener was also the grand opening of Demirjian Park.
