Carlinville shooting suspect in jail

CARLINVILLE -- Law enforcement authorities have captured a suspect with links to a shooting Wednesday night in Carlinville. Carlinville Police Department responded to the 1000 block of Johnson Street where a man was reported shot. 37-year-old Dana Morgan Jr. would receive life-saving treatment at the scene. RAYMOND (Heartland Newsfeed) -- The Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), in coordination with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department and the Illinois Search and Rescue Council, sponsored a three-hour ground search and rescue training seminar Thursday evening, October 12 in the auditorium of Lincolnwood High School in Raymond. 33 first responders from communities throughout the county participated in the training, according to county EMA coordinator Greg Nimmo. The tentative Montgomery County budget for fiscal year 2018 came in with a deficit of approximately $600,000 in the General Fund.
