Nokomis council address brown water complaints

NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis City Council met in its regular session on Monday, July 11. Among the issues on deck are ongoing complaints relating to the declining quality of its water. Bryon McLean, a current water customer and Coalton village trustee, made a formal complaint. The complaint pertains to the brown water he's been experiencing. Montgomery County reports recent COVID-19 death, first positive student case

HILLSBORO -- Montgomery County is reporting its eighth COVID-19 death in the same week the first school student tests positive, as cases and positive tests tick upward. Hillsboro Old Settlers Days canceled for 2020

HILLSBORO (Heartland Newsfeed) -- Hillsboro will be missing out on their annual Old Settlers Days celebration as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Hillsboro Old Settlers Association made an announcement Sunday that this year's celebration will not be taking place, following a majority vote in favor of the decision.
