Nokomis council address brown water complaints

NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis City Council met in its regular session on Monday, July 11. Among the issues on deck are ongoing complaints relating to the declining quality of its water. Bryon McLean, a current water customer and Coalton village trustee, made a formal complaint. The complaint pertains to the brown water he's been experiencing. Nokomis seeks new police chief

NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis City Council met in a special session on Thursday, Jan. 27 with the intent of hiring a new police chief. All commissioners were present with the exception of Michael Glenn. Nokomis approves COVID-19 grant payments

NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis City Council would approve $1,000 payments to seven of eight business applicants to the city's grant program. The program, directed at businesses struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was available for a short period of time. The approval of these payments would take place at the regular meeting on Monday, Dec. 14. There was no naming of businesses receiving the grant monies.
