NASSAU, Bahamas (UPI) -- Hurricane Jose, which was downgraded to a Category 2 storm Monday morning, is expected to continue weakening over the next couple of days as it lingers in the Atlantic Ocean east of the Bahamas, the National Hurricane Center said. THE ATLANTIC OCEAN (UPI) -- The National Hurricane Center said Jose strengthened into a hurricane Wednesday afternoon in the Atlantic Ocean. Jose formed Tuesday in the central Atlantic, more than 1,000 miles east of Hurricane Irma, and so far is following Irma's path westward toward the Caribbean.
