TEUTOPOLIS -- At least five people are dead with a section of an Effingham County town being evacuated as a result of a Friday night crash. A news release from the Illinois State Police Saturday morning revealed that a multi-vehicle crash occurred late Friday evening. NASHVILLE/BELLEVILLE – The Illinois State Police (ISP) has arrested three men involved in the death of a Washington County man. ISP's Division of Criminal Investigations (DCI) announced the arrests Thursday in a news release. CARLINVILLE -- Law enforcement authorities have captured a suspect with links to a shooting Wednesday night in Carlinville. Carlinville Police Department responded to the 1000 block of Johnson Street where a man was reported shot. 37-year-old Dana Morgan Jr. would receive life-saving treatment at the scene.
