Rep. John Conyers retiring amid sexual misconduct allegations
DETROIT/WASHINGTON (UPI) -- Michigan Rep. John Conyers announced Tuesday he is retiring immediately amid allegations of sexual harassment. Conyers told a Detroit radio station he's "retiring today" and endorsed his son, John Conyers III, to take his seat in the House. "This too shall pass. And I want you to know that my legacy will continue through my children," Conyers said.
