CHICAGO -- Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker announced Friday that the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) is rolling out a new service. The new service is a joint effort of IDHS' division of mental health and the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Mystery salmonella outbreak sickens hundreds

WASHINGTON (UPI) -- The U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention said Thursday it's investigating the cause of a salmonella outbreak that's sickened 419 people in 35 states. Study: Statins cut heart attack, stroke risk even in older adults

CHICAGO (UPI) -- Older adults can reduce risk for a fatal heart attack or stroke by 20 percent by taking a prescription statin drug, according to a study published Tuesday by JAMA.
