COALTON -- The Coalton Village Board heard safety concerns relating to dogs at large running loose around the village. These concerns were heard during its regular business meeting on Wednesday, Apr. 12. Residents Keith and Kathy Pierce addressed the board about these issues with dogs running loose. Nokomis council considers tree replacement at Johnson Park

NOKOMIS -- Two trees that have recently been cut down in Johnson Park in downtown Nokomis is being considered for replacement. The Nokomis City Council discussed the replacement during its regular meeting on Monday, Apr. 10. COALTON -- The annual audit was an item of discussion during the Coalton village board's meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 9. Trustee Steve Lee presented his report as finance chair, which would include the audit. A quarterly review is also now complete. NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis City Council met in its regular session on Monday, July 11. Among the issues on deck are ongoing complaints relating to the declining quality of its water. Bryon McLean, a current water customer and Coalton village trustee, made a formal complaint. The complaint pertains to the brown water he's been experiencing.
