Salmonella outbreak sickens 212 people in 23 states

WASHINGTON (UPI) -- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is investigating an outbreak of salmonella that has sickened 212 people in 23 states. In a Friday press release the CDC reported that 87 people had become ill since its last update on the outbreak Tuesday. (UPI) -- Only one in four Medicare recipients undergo cardiac rehabilitation following a heart attack or other heart-related health event, a study has found. In research published Tuesday in the journal Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes, researchers found that about 25 percent of Medicare beneficiaries participate in a cardiac rehabilitation program.
