TAYLORVILLE -- A Kincaid woman is dead following an incident involving a Norfolk Southern train in rural Taylorville, according to multiple sources. The victim, 48-year-old Crystal Bell of Kincaid, was pronounced dead at the scene within the vicinity of 1610 West Sangamon Road. TAYLORVILLE -- According to Christian County Sheriff Bruce Kettelkamp, their jail is out-of-date and needs urgent improvements. The Christian County Correctional Center was built in 1977. SPRINGFIELD (UPI) -- Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed a bill Tuesday morning legalizing recreational marijuana use, making the state the eleventh to decriminalize the drug.
