Conference expands to 18 schools

Sept. 1 (UPI) -- The University of California Berkeley, Southern Methodist University, and Stanford University will join the Atlantic Coast Conference, pushing its membership to 18 colleges, the conference announced Friday. MINNEAPOLIS (UPI) -- The Northwestern-Minnesota game scheduled for Saturday in Minneapolis has been called off because of COVID-19 issues within the Golden Gophers' football program.
