Tarr murder trial moving forward

HILLSBORO -- After over two years of ongoing pretrial hearings and standstills, the murder trial of Robert Tarr from a 2021 murder in Farmersville is making some progress. Court filings in Montgomery County Circuit Court last week revealed subpoenas being filed for delivery to key witnesses in the murder trial of Tarr, 50, of Collinsville. DECATUR -- A woman with a last-known address in Macoupin County is currently in the custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC). Cases against Abigail L. Martin concluded in March for Morgan and Greene counties in the month of March with guilty verdicts. While the Rotary eClub of Central Illinois has been an officially recognized club since June 29, the club held its charter recognition ceremony Tuesday night, August 24 at Opera House Brewing Company in Hillsboro and for those unable to attend via Zoom.
