IHSA issues classification cutoffs for 2027-08

BLOOMINGTON -- The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Board of Directors met Monday, where the Board approved an update to the Classification Policy. They would further provide revised classification cutoffs in multiple IHSA sports that will go into effect for the 2027-2028 school year. ST. LOUIS -- St. Louis CITY SC has traded midfielder Eduard Löwen to the San Jose Earthquakes. The transaction involves $425,000 in 2026 General Allocation Money, the club announced. Culver-Stockton to field women’s flag football

CANTON, Mo. -- Culver-Stockton College will add a women's flag football program that will start competition in 2028. A news release from the college confirmed this news on Thursday. Athletic Director Pat Atwell said that the college will name its first head coach in the near future. CHARLESTON -- Single-game tickets and tailgate squares for the 2026 Eastern Illinois football season will be available starting Saturday, Aug. 1. SPRINGFIELD -- A letter of intent was signed last week at Scheels Sports Park at Legacy Pointe to build the Illinois Sports Hall of Fame. The facility will be built on roughly four to six acres of the facility grounds. There is a target for a grand opening in the summer of 2028.
