Expect the remainder of your Independence Day holiday and most of this week to be hot and unbearable in the bi-state region. The National Weather Service in St. Louis has activated a Heat Advisory Sunday afternoon. It will officially be in effect as of noon Monday, July 4. High temperatures and high humidity create hazardous conditions with heat index values between 100 and 105 degrees on Monday. Richmiller gets 40 years for sex crimes

QUINCY — Judge Timothy Wessel has sentenced a Quincy man to 40 years in prison. An Adams County jury found Tylar N. Richmiller, 27, guilty of two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault in April. He was also found guilty of four counts of criminal sexual assault. Wessel handed down two ten-year sentences for the predatory criminal sexual assaults.
