World’s longest suspension bridge opens in Switzerland

RANDA, Switzerland (UPI) -- The world's longest pedestrian suspension bridge opened Sunday in Switzerland, measuring 1,620 feet long and hanging 278 feet in the air. The Europabrücke (Europe Bridge) is also extremely thin, spanning only 25 inches wide. PHOENIX (UPI) -- A Federal judge on Monday found Joe Arpaio, a former sheriff in Arizona, guilty of ignoring a judge's order to stop racial profiling in immigration enforcement. (UPI) -- Charter Communications Inc. ended speculation it would acquire Sprint Corp., announcing it would not seek a merger between media companies.
