STAUNTON — Staunton High School will soon be welcoming Carrie Griffith to the CUSD #6 family. On Tuesday, May 31, the Board of Education voted to employ Griffith.

“Ms. Griffith’s positive attitude and professional demeanor made her stand out as a top candidate,” said Staunton superintendent Brett Allen. “I’m excited for her to work with our staff and students to maintain and improve the high-quality education provided to our community.”

Griffith brings 22 years of education experience with her to the Staunton School District. Thirteen years were spent in the classroom and the remaining years as a school administrator.

“I am looking forward to returning to the area to work for the Staunton School District and community,” Griffith stated.

Griffith starts her position as the high school principal on July 1.
