ST. LOUIS — The U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) is returning to St. Louis this summer after a successful inaugural match last spring.
The USWNT will host China PR in St. Louis CITY SC‘s Energizer Park on Tuesday, June 3 at 7 p.m.
The game will be broadcast on television through TNT and Universo, through the Max and Peacock streaming services, and on the radio through Westwood One Sports.
The women’s team played at the then-named CITYPARK in April 2023 in a match against Ireland, ending with a 1-0 victory.
There will be a special pregame celebration for retired USWNT legend Becky Sauerbrunn, who hung up her boots in December.
Sauerbrunn, undisputedly the greatest female player in St. Louis soccer history, played 219 games for Team USA, good for tenth all-time. She was in action for three Olympic Games and three Women’s World Cups. Sauerbrunn would have appeared in a fourth last year, but was sidelined due to a foot injury.
The former U.S. captain will be working double-duty, as she will be part of the TNT broadcast team.
The USWNT will play China PR before this event on Saturday, May 31 at Allianz Field in St. Paul, Minn. That game will also be broadcast.
The duo of games against China PR marks their first meetings since the end of 2023. Both teams met in two world finals in the 1990s. The visiting team is currently preparing for the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup, which will serve as their qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. The USWNT is preparing for the CONCACAF World Cup as their qualifier, which will be held in the fall of 2026.
“I love these games because they combine some rich women’s soccer history with the present, with both countries going through transitions in preparation for ’27 World Cup qualifying,” said U.S. head coach Emma Hayes. “But our process continues and it’s a patient and comprehensive one. It’s up to our coaching staff to give players opportunities – opportunities they have earned – and it’s up to the players to show us they can perform at the highest levels. We are looking forward to seeing the players show their talents against an excellent team in two fantastic soccer venues.”
“We love welcoming the United States Women’s National team to America’s First Soccer City and Energizer Park once again,” said Diego Gigliani, CITY SC president and general manager. “We value the opportunity to showcase the city of St. Louis and our incredible soccer history which produced so many great players like Becky and Lori Chalupny.”
Presale tickets are available to CITY SC season ticket holders and myCITY+ members beginning today. The same courtesy is offered to U.S. Soccer Insiders.
Visa cardholders will be able to purchase their tickets through the U.S. Soccer website from 1 p.m. on Thursday to 8 a.m. on Friday.
Tickets will become available to the general public at 10 a.m. on Friday.
