CHATHAM — Sandra Stauder, 70, of Chatham, passed away on March 31, 2024, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. Per Sandra’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Sandra was born on February 4, 1954, in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Marvin Stauder and Mary Niehaus. She worked for the State of Illinois Consumer Fraud Bureau for many years, loved watching baseball, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Above all, she loved her family immensely and loved spending time with them.

Sandra is survived by her sister Sally (Doug) Keenan of Pana, brother Jim (Lynne) Stauder of Donna, TX, caregiver and best friend Kim Stinson of Chatham, nephews Jeff (Barb) Stauder of Pana, Paul (Leanne) Stauder of Fairfield, Marc Stauder of Pana, and Kent (Corrie) Stauder of Finley, niece Katie (Nick) Horton of Riverton, great-nephew Gage Horton, and great-niece Hadley Horton, as well as her beloved pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Mary Stauder, grandparents Phillip and Lena Stauder and Cecil and Beaulah Niehaus, and her sister Suzanne Stauder.

Memorials to honor Sandra may be made to Paws Care of Montgomery County by visiting www.pawscare.org.

Sutton Memorial Home assisted the family with arrangements.
