TAYLORVILLE — Published court appearances reflect the daily 10:00 a.m. criminal call and do not necessarily account for all felony proceedings heard that day. Circuit Court Judge Brad Paisley heard cases on December 7, 11, 12, and 14. The following is a consolidated report of those cases heard:

  • Tavonn M. Adams, 23CF98. (Possession of cannabis in an amount between 500 to 2,000 grams; manufacturing or delivering 30 to 500 grams if cannabis; other amount of a schedule one and two narcotic) The plea hearing was scheduled for January 12, 2024.
  • Michael R. Everly, 23CF135. (Violation of the sex offender registry.) The pre-trial was continued to January 23, 2024.
  • Jada B. Reeves, 23CF122. (Burglary; aggravated fleeing from the police while going twenty-one miles over the speed limit.) The defendant was given notice to appear today and did not appear. The next hearing was scheduled for January 3, 2024 by request of the defense.
  • Chad A. Wilber, 23CF74. (Delivering between fifteen to 100 grams of meth/ charge amended or reduced; possession of five or less grams of meth.) Pre-trial has been forwarded to a possible plea agreement on January 23, 2024.
  • Timothy E. Wiseman, 22CF126. (Possession of meth in an amount between five and fifteen grams.) Pre-trial has been continued to January 12, 2024.
  • Damery L. Binkley, 23CF182. (Felony possession of a firearm; delivery of five or less grams of meth). The hearing for the motion for furlough has been forwarded to Dec. 12, 2023.
  • Brittany J. Hill, 22CF92. (Arson of a residence.) Pre-trial was rescheduled for January 12, 2024.
  • Mathieu L. Kuhns, 22CF88. (Two counts of delivering five or fewer grams of meth.) Pre-trial was scheduled for January 23, 2024.
  • Dennis E. Wilcutt, 23CF42, 23CF164. (Two counts of violating the sex offender registry.) Pre-trial was continued to Dec. 21, 2023.
  • Michael O. Beck, 23CF174, aggravated domestic battery, waived preliminary hearing and formal arraignment and pled not guilty. Final pre-trial is Feb. 20, 2024, at 1:15 p.m. with jury trial at 8:30 a.m., Mar. 4, 2024.
  • A motion for furlough for in patient substance abuse treatment for one year was granted for Bakery Binkley, 23CF182, felon possession/use of firearm and meth delivery five grams or less. Status hearing is Mar. 26, 2024.
  • David A. Crutcher, 23CF93, predatory criminal sexual assault; criminal sexual assault; and aggravated criminal sexual abuse, had a petition to remove bail for release was passed.
  • Pre-trial for Dalton L. Dupont, 23CF44, aggravated battery to a child, was continued until Jan. 23, 2024.
  • Michael E. Durbin, 23CF113, felon possession of stolen firearm had a petition hearing denied.
  • Michael E. Handy, 23CF100, aggravated battery of a peace officer, had pre-trial continued until Feb. 2, 2024.
  • Cole A. Montgomery, 22CF138, aggravated fleeing police, had a hearing on a petition to revoke probation continued until 2:00 p.m. Monday.
  • Thomas C. Wiseman, 23CF136, aggravated fleeing police, had pre-trial continued until Feb. 6, 2024.
  • Brent A. Woodall, 23CF163, unlawful restraint; two counts of domestic battery; and criminal sexual assault, had preliminary hearing cancelled. Final pre-trial is set for Dec. 12, 2023 at 1:15 p.m. with jury trial set for 8:30 a.m. Jan. 2, 2024.
  • Scarlet D. Farlow, 18CF171, 21CF174. (Two counts for the possession of five or less grams of meth/ eighteen days in jail with credit for nine, twenty-four months of probation.) The status hearing for the petition to revoke was rescheduled for continued to Dec. 13, 2023.
  • Jack L. Skinner, 22CF209, 23CF79 (Two count for possessing five or less grams of meth; resisting a peace officer, corrections employee, or firefighter.) There was a status on pre-trial and an additional status hearing set for on January 30, 2024.
  • Mysean D. Burden, 23CF19. (Burglary/ charge amended or reduced; burglary without damage.) The defendant has requested to represent himself. A status on the motion was scheduled for February 23, 2024.
  • Steven D. Leonard, 23CF47, 23CF175. (Driving under the influence of alcohol; driving with a revoked or suspended license; Unlawful restraint; domestic battery making physical contact.) A preliminary hearing was held today and probable cause for the charges was found. Pre-trial was scheduled for January 19, 2024.
  • Joshua C. Hawthorne, 21CF29, 21CF207, 23CF168. (Two counts for possession of five or less grams of meth; delivery of five or less grams of meth; delivery of fifteen to 100 grams of meth/ dismissed by motion of the state; two counts for use of a vehicle, structure or property for the purpose of meth/ with one count dismissed.) Final pre-trial and a status on the preliminary hearing for case 23CF168 was scheduled for Jan. 23, 2023 1:15 p.m.
  • Joshua E. Bain, 21CF333. (Two counts for delivery of five or less grams of meth with one count dismissed by motion of the state.) The hearing for the status on petition to revoke and a motion by the defense to remove monetary pre-trial release conditions has been forwarded to Dec. 19, 2023.
  • Rexton D. Pruitt, 23CF110. (Criminal damage to property in an amount between $500 to 10k.) A piea hearing was scheduled or January 30, 2024.
  • Louquaris J. Sullivan, 23CF99. (Aggravated battery of a peace officer.) Final pre trial was scheduled for February 20, 2024 1;15 p.m. Jury trial was scheduled for March 4, 2024 at 8;30 a.m.
  • Bradley P. Graham, 23CF86. (Drug induced homicide.) There was a status on a plea and a motion to remove monetary pre-trial release conditions. A hearing was scheduled for Dec. 15, 2023 11 a.m.
  • Karla L. Price, 23CF137. (Criminal damage to property totaling damages from $500 to 10k; domestic battery making physical contact.) A status hearing was held regarding a negotiated plea. The plea hearing was set for January 24, 2024 at 11 a.m.
  • Aubrey D. Smith, 23CF155. (Two counts for the delivery of five or less grams of meth.) During pre-trial was a status update regarding a negotiated plea. The plea hearing was set for January 11, 2024.

Christian County Resident Judge Christopher Hantla presided over the following cases on December 15, 2023:

  • Nicholas L. Steele, 22CF230, 22CF253. (Possession of meth in an amount under five grams; theft of $150 worth of motor fuel with a previous conviction.) The hearing was set for further pretrial on February 1, 2024.
  • Kyle T. Adler, 23CF95. (Aggravated battery of a peace officer; domestic battery causing bodily harm.) The status hearing is continued to Dec. 21, 2023.
  • Jerry W. Riggs, 20CF147, 23CF21, 23CF170. (Eight counts for the delivery of five or less grams of meth with four of the counts amended or reduced. served 148 days in jail with credit for 74 served. Serving two years of probation; Domestic battery causing harm with one or more previous convictions.) The hearing for a petition to revoke probation has been continued to Dec. 21, 2023.
  • Shiloh K. Thomas, 23CF188. (Felony possession or use of a firearm while on parole.) The first appearance was held today and the first appearance with council was set for February 1, 2024.
  • Anthony M. Pakovich, 23CF173. (Two counts for $500- 10k worth of damage to property; driving while under the influence of alcohol; reckless driving; improper traffic lane usage. Transport or carry open alcohol while driving.) During the preliminary hearing probable cause was found for the charges. The defendant pleas not guilty and pre-trial is set for Jan. 11 24
  • Sharon L. Colston, 21CF137. (Intimidation in an criminal offense/dismissed by motion of the state; possession of meth in an amount under five grams/thirty-two days in jail with credit for sixteen, serving eighteen months of probation.) There was a status update on the petition to revoke probation. An additional status hearing was scheduled for February 29, 2023.
  • Brian D. Colston, 21CF132. (Possession of a schedule four substance/dismissed by motion of the state; possession amount of a controlled substance/ served six days in jail with credit for three, serving twenty-four months probation.) There was a status update on the petition to revoke probation. An additional status hearing was scheduled for February 29, 2023.
  • Richard A. Micheletta, 21CF168. (Possession of five or less grams of meth/ dismissed by motion of the state; passion of drug paraphernalia, served ten days in jail with credit for five, twenty-four months probation.) A status hearing for the petition to revoke probation was set for January 26, 2024.
  • Cale R. Sexson, 20CF310. (Aggravated battery of a merchant; theft of $300 worth of merchandise with a previous conviction twenty-eight months of probation with 120 days of electronic monitoring.) The petition to revoke probation hearing was reset for an inperson hearing on Dec. 18, 2023.
  • Andrew L. Calvert, 21CF186, 22CF127. (Possession of less than five grams of meth/ ten days served in jail with credit for five, thirty hours of community service, two years of probation; accident causing an injury, or death.) The hearing was reset for pre-trial on February 2, 2024.
  • James C. Williams, 20CF73. (Residential Arson.) During the negotiated plea set for today the state dismissed the charges without prejudice.
