Shawn A. Arkebauer, 53, of Decatur passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
He was born November 10, 1968 in Hillsboro to Mary (Richardson) Wolf.
He married Mary Grace Bonocan on September 22, 2010 in Decatur, and she survives.
Shawn was a graduate of Pana High School and worked at Archer Daniels Midland. He liked to read books and enjoyed history. He also had a love of food and travel, which led to his adventurous side of heading out on road trips in search of a new restaurant to try.
Along with his wife, Shawn is also survived by his daughter Eloise Publico of Decatur, mother Mary (stepfather Roger) Wolf of Oconee, and father and mother-in-law Idelfonso and Laly Bonocan of The Philippines.
Visitation for Shawn will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home. To help prevent the further spread of any virus, masks will be required during the visitation.
Memorials in Shawn’s honor may be made to the family and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
