Lynda M. Reed, 79, Pana passed away during the early morning hours of January 18, 2022.
She was born July 11, 1942 in Pana, the daughter of M.T. “Slim” and Helen “Tootsie” (Havrilka) Branch.
Lynda graduated from Pana High School, Class of 1960. Lynda and Dennis were married for 61 years, 2 months, 6 days. They grew a beautiful family together. She was proud of every one of them.
She loved to read. She was also very outgoing and loved meeting and talking to people. She dearly loved her grandchildren and loved playing games with them when they visited. Caring for her home was important to her. She was meticulous, very organized, and always busy. Lynda’s Christian faith was also very important to her. Her strong faith and love of God remained steadfast.
She will be greatly missed by her husband Dennis, children Mark (Kelly) Reed, Regina (Mike) Trexler, Michael (Joan) Reed, and John (Jodi) Reed, grandchildren Blake (Lacy) Berner, Justin (Laura) Reed, Raegan Reed, and Jaclyn Reed, great-grandchildren Conner Reed, Carter Reed, Luke Berner, and Liam Berner, special honorary granddaughter Stefani (Voudrie) Beverlin, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Walter “Butch” Branch and Judith Kay (Branch) Williamson.
Per Lynda’s wishes, cremation rights will be accorded, and a private family burial will be held at a later date.
Special thanks to Pana Community Hospital for the genuine concern and care given.
Friends wishing to honor Lynda may make donations to Pana Community Hospital Foundation or Community Mission Center and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
