Libertarian slate invited to Chicago Tribune endorsement interviews

BLOOMINGTON (Heartland Newsfeed) — For the first time ever, an entire Libertarian slate has been invited to participate in endorsement interviews with Illinois’ largest newspaper.

LPIL Libertarian Chicago Tribune Candidate Endorsement InterviewsEach of the six statewide candidates were offered invitations by the Chicago Tribune Editorial Board for interviews related to their races.

These interviews held the editorial board decide who to endorse in November’s general election.

Lex Green, 2010 gubernatorial nominee and immediate past chairman of the Libertarian Party of Illinois, participated in the interview.

Comptroller candidate Claire Ball will be making her second appearance following her 2016 showing in the special election for the office.

The interviews begin in late August and will run through the end of September.

The Chicago Tribune editorial board endorsed former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson, the Libertarian nominee for President of the United States.
