HILLSBORO (Heartland Newsfeed) — In a press release made available to the press late Sunday night, Montgomery County Clerk Sandy Leitheiser reminds all candidates seeking to run in the March 20 primary election that the filing period is next week.
The filing period to submit completed nominating paperwork and petition signatures with the Office of the County Clerk will begin at the beginning of the business day on Monday, November 27, following the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, and will conclude at the end of the business day on Monday, December 4.
County offices to be nominated in the primary election include State’s Attorney for a two-year unexpired term, County Clerk, County Treasurer, County Sheriff, Regional Superintendent of Schools, 11 of 21 seats on the Montgomery County Board based in all seven districts and precinct committeemen for the Democratic and Republican parties.
