Witt resident wins $75,000 lottery prize

WITT — Lifelong Witt resident Reeda Bundy played an Ultimate Crossword ticket and instantly won $75,000.

“I never dreamed I would win such a big prize!” she said when she presented her ticket at the Illinois Lottery Prize Center in Springfield. “I was totally stunned.”

Bundy bought her winning Ultimate Crossword ticket at Casey’s General Store, 314 N. Hirst St., in Witt. She was at home when she scratched it and discovered her win.

“I went straight back to the store to have them double-check my ticket for me.”

Reedy says she plays the Lottery every day and feels very blessed to have won. Her plans for the windfall include sharing with family, paying bills and doing some fun things.

Casey’s received $750, one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket. Ultimate Crossword is a $25 instant ticket featuring ten top prizes of $750,000, five of which have not yet been claimed, and 100 prizes of $75,000, 51 of which have not yet been claimed.
