Springfield chamber tops the charts

SPRINGFIELD — The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce has attained a five-star accreditation from the United States Chamber of Commerce, lifting its status to among the top 1% of chambers in the nation.

This honor marks the second time GSCoC has reached the highest-possible rating. A competency review in nine core areas by staffers led to this recent decision, in which the chamber garnered special congratulations for its employee personnel manual, staff benefits, event success, preparedness planning and flawless scores in governance, technology, communication and facilities.

Accreditation is the USCoC standard for acknowledging efficiency and community engagement and is often the lowest rating in the range, going up to a maximum of five stars.

The Springfield Chamber regularly sponsors educational programming, marketing guidance and job fairs, as well as offering business connections and striving to increase visibility of members in the community, all while trying to move the region forward and enhancing its profile to be a desirable place to live and work

“Through our members’ support of The Chamber and our pro-business advocacy efforts, we have a real impact on the business climate,” the chamber says on its website. “A strong Chamber equals a strong business community and your business prospers as our community prospers.”
